Sales for FitBits and fitness watches are expected to grow by something like 300% this Christmas season. But the problem is that nobody has figured out exactly what wearables are for. Not even Apple.

The Apple Watch may indeed rise to the top of the wearables market, but compared to the mobile market, those numbers and profits will be miniscule.
