Victorian Premier, Daniel (Dan) Andrews, will become the first political leader to take to Twitter’s streaming app, Periscope, in a Q&A session 6:30 tonight.
Promising to allow the public to communicate directly with the man they elected, the Premier’s office is billing this as a way to cut through the barrier between him and the voters.
The Q&A session will last fifteen minutes from using the hashtag #askthepremier.
Also working to sell the budget to the public will be Treasurer Tim Pallas, hosting a Q&A on Facebook.
Periscope, an app which transmits a broadcaster’s live stream of video, is one of a string of live streaming apps to surface recently. Allowing you to see the world through someone else’s eyes, the app has recently offered views of the front lines of the Ukraine protests, as well as the front seat to episodes of “Game of Thrones” and the pay-per-view “Fight of the Century” on Sunday.
